Promoting inclusive education for all, educate a child, build a nation

The Bright Future Back-To-School Emergency Support for under privileged groups of children in Nsuke and Mbabe aimed at promoting Early Childhood Education (ECE) for both boys and girls. Hope Springs Global Alliance (HSGA) donated and supported 188 (93 from Nsuke and 95 from Mbabe) under privileged children with educational supplies (books, pens, pencils, rulers, sharpeners and erasers). A need assessment was done to get the target population (beneficiaries) through focus group discussion with community leaders, sensitization and awareness raising campaign. Educational workshops were done with parents and community leaders with emphasizing the needs for ECE.  HSGA believes that, it is the fundamental right for every child to have access to quality education as enshrined in UN SDGs 4 aimed at ensuring inclusive and equitable education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. Thus, the importance of early childhood education cannot be over emphasized.

It is worth noticing that, over half of the population in Nsuke and Mbabe are made up of internally displaced persons (IDPs) due to the ongoing Anglophone crisis in the North West and South West Region of Cameroon. Many of these children have experience profound physical and emotional traumas and have miss years of schools, severely compromising their future. Displaced children face challenges accessing quality education including adapting to new schools and cultures that impact their learning ability. The first five years of a child’s life are considered the most critical stage of development that are essential for their growth.

On this note, HSGA is dedicated to providing support and resources to under privileged in Tombel Sub- Division in the South West Region of Cameroon particularly in Nsuke and Mbabe, helping them to receive the quality education they deserved. Together we must act collectively and quickly to foster a world where children are given the opportunity to thrive, because they can make our world a better place as it is often said that, “Educate a child, build a nation
